CANCELLATION AND GRANT OF STOCK OPTIONS

Vancouver, B.C.: Southern Arc Minerals Inc. (TSX Venture: SA) announces the cancellation of an aggregate 3,450,000 stock options which were exercisable at $1.56 per share, until September and October 2012.  The stock options were originally granted in September and October 2007.

The Company further announces that it has granted stock options to directors and officers of the Company, in the amount of 3,500,000 common shares, exercisable at $0.40 per share for a period of five years.
