John Proust, C. Dir.

John Proust has successfully managed, directed and advised public and private companies regarding debt and equity financing, mergers and acquisitions and corporate restructuring since 1986. Highly regarded in the industry for his management skills and attention to detail, he has held and is holding senior operating positions and has served on the boards of numerous private and TSX Venture Exchange listed companies including as current CEO and director of New Zealand Energy Corp., Executive Chairman and Director of Superior Mining International Corporation, and Chairman and Director of Canada Energy Partners Inc.
Mr. Proust was also previously the past president and a director of Signature Resources Ltd. (UrAsia Energy Ltd.), president and a director of TelcoPlus Enterprises Inc. (Yamiri Gold and Energy Inc.), president and a director of Adobe Ventures Inc. (Coalcorp Mining Inc.), and a director of Atlas Cromwell Ltd. (Terrane Metals Corp.), Canada West Capital Inc. (Canadian Sub-surface Energy Services Corp.), Chap Mercantile Inc. (Silver Wheaton Corp.), Full Riches Investment Ltd. (Bankers Petroleum Ltd.), Cash Minerals Ltd., Navigator Exploration Corp., and Strongbow Exploration Inc. In addition, Mr. Proust was previously the president, a director and the majority shareholder of Canada Talc Limited, an Ontario miner and processor of industrial minerals.
Mr. Proust has extensive experience in corporate governance, is a graduate of The Directors College, Michael G. De Groote School of Business at McMaster University and holds the designation of Chartered Director (C. Dir.).
Michael Andrews, Ph. D., FAusIMM
President & Chief Operating Officer, Director
Mike Andrews is a geologist with over 30 years of research and mining industry experience in gold, copper, coal and iron exploration, and provides Southern Arc with valuable insight with respect to the considerable mineral opportunities available in Indonesia. He holds an honours degree in Geology from the University of Reading, and a doctorate in exploration geochemistry from the University of Wales. Dr. Andrews is a leading authority on mineralisation in the island arc terranes of the Indonesian archipelago.
Dr. Andrews is also a director of Advance Concept Holdings Ltd., Paragon Resources (Hong Kong) Ltd., and Managing director of Pacific Goldfields Pty Ltd., Australian subsidiary of Advance Concept Holdings Ltd. Previously, he was director of Kingsrose Mining Ltd and director of Indonesian PT Natarang Mining and PT Paragon Perdana Mining. Kingrose Mining Ltd, operating the underground gold-silver Way Linggo Mine on Sumatra, is a highly profitable mine in which Dr. Andrews played an instrumental role in its original discovery, exploration, feasibility and development over a 20-year period. Dr. Andrews also held the positions of executive director and chief geologist of AuIron Energy Ltd and of Director Gold Operations for Meekatharra Minerals Ltd. in Indonesia. Between 1995 and 1998, Dr. Andrews managed the Teck-MM Gold Indonesian Joint Venture, an exploration portfolio of thirteen gold and copper projects in Indonesia. He has also previously held senior exploration positions with Ashton Mining Ltd, Aurora Gold Ltd and Muswellbrook Energy and Minerals Ltd. Dr. Andrews is a Fellow of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy.
Hamish Campbell, B. Sc. (Geology), MAusIMM
Executive Vice President
Mr. Campbell is an independent geological consultant who heads Southern Arc's exploration programs in Indonesia. He is well-known and highly regarded within the Indonesian mineral exploration community. Mr. Campbell is a key contributor to our exploration and acquisition strategies. He has over 25 years of international mineral exploration, including 23 years in Indonesia, speaks Indonesian, and has held mineral exploration positions ranging from field geologist to exploration manager. He has established and maintained both local and foreign owned mining service companies, designed and implemented exploration programs, along with evaluation and assessment of joint venture and acquisition opportunities. Previously Mr. Campbell was a director of PT. Jasa Prima Raya (Jakarta), Indonesian exploration manager of Golden Valley Mines (Australia) and senior geologist of Meekathara Minerals (Australia). Mr. Campbell is a graduate of the University of Canterbury, New Zealand, where he completed a Bachelor of Science degree. He subsequently received a MAusIMM designation from the Australasian Institute of Mining & Metallurgy and is a member of the Indonesian Mining Association.
Andrew Rowe, B. Sc. (Geology), MAusIMM
Chief Geologist
Andrew Rowe joined Southern Arc in May 2006 as a Senior Geological Consultant and has been responsible for developing and executing exploration strategies for the Pelangan and Selodong Prospect areas in SA’s South Lombok Project. Mr. Rowe graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Geology from the University of Technology, Sydney, Australia in 1993. He is a Member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy. Mr. Rowe has 18 years of experience in mineral exploration and project management in Australia and various countries in Southeast Asia including Thailand, Indonesia, Mongolia, China and Laos. During this time he held exploration positions with Renison Goldfields, Normandy Anglo Asia, Phelps Dodge, Aurora Gold and Ivanhoe Mines. Immediately prior to joining Southern Arc he was the principal geologist for Pan Australian Resources Ltd (Laos) and part of the management team responsible for successfully bringing the Phu Kham Cu-Au porphyry deposit through to bankable feasibility.
Brian Richardson, CA, MBA
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Richardson is a Chartered Accountant with over 20 years of experience as a Chief Financial Officer, and has held senior financial positions for a number of public and private companies. Mr. Richardson previously worked for Ernst & Young in Toronto and in Hong Kong, and currently serves as Chief Financial Officer of Superior Mining International Corp. and CNSX-listed Bryant Resources Inc. Mr. Richardson also holds an MBA from the International Institute for Management Development (IMD) in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Rhylin Bailie, B.ES.
Vice President, Communications & Investor Relations
Ms. Bailie brings a diverse skill set and nearly 16 years of mining experience to her position with Southern Arc. Most recently, she was Director Communications & Investor Relations for NovaGold Resources, a TSX and NYSE-AMEX listed precious metals company with a $2.2 billion market cap. Ms. Bailie joined the investor relations team at NovaGold in 2006 and assumed full responsibility for NovaGold’s investor relations and communications program in early 2010. Before joining NovaGold, Ms. Bailie held various positions in the Treasury group at Placer Dome from 1995 to 2006. Ms. Bailie has also worked as a freelance editor and writer for 10 years, editing mostly academic textbooks and providing investor relations consulting and writing services to smaller resource companies.Ms. Bailie is a graduate of University of Waterloo, Ontario, where she completed a Bachelor of Environmental Studies degree with a double major in Resource Studies and Biology and a minor in English. Ms. Bailie used her environmental background to introduce a number of initiatives at NovaGold, including a head office health and safety program and comprehensive sustainability reporting. She is a Board member of the Canadian Investor Relations Institute, British Columbia Chapter.
Celeste Curran, BA, LLB
Vice President, Corporate & Legal Affairs
Ms. Curran has been managing international and corporate legal affairs for Southern Arc as a consultant since June 2010, and also manages the Canadian and international legal affairs of a number of public and private companies as an employee of J. Proust & Associates Inc., a public company management and venture capital company. Ms. Curran has more than 20 years of experience as a major projects lawyer in British Columbia. From 1998 to 2007, Ms. Curran was lead counsel for the City of Vancouver for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. From 2007 to 2010, she provided legal advice to the City of Richmond on the 2010 Winter Games and a wide variety of municipal, real estate and regulatory matters. Ms. Curran is a graduate of Queens University, Ontario, where she completed a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree and a graduate of the University of Victoria, British Columbia, where she completed a Bachelor of Laws degree. Ms. Curran was called to the bar in British Columbia in 1989 and is currently a non-practising member of the British Columbia Law Society.
Eileen Au, B.Sc.
Corporate Secretary
Ms. Au currently serves as Corporate Secretary to various public and private companies as an employee of JPA, a public company management and venture capital company. Ms. Au has worked in the capital markets in Asia for more than 10 years, beginning her career at an international brokerage firm before moving on to regional Asian firms. Ms. Au is currently the Corporate Secretary of Canada Energy Partners Inc., Southern Arc Minerals Inc. and Superior Mining International Corporation, all TSX-V listed companies. Ms. Au is also a Director of Bryant Resources Inc. and Charlotte Resources Ltd., both Canadian National Stock Exchange listed companies. Ms. Au was formerly a Director of Avanti Mining Inc. and Corporate Secretary of Western Lithium Canada Corporation (subsequently graduated to Toronto Stock Exchange) and Western Uranium Corporation, all TSX-V listed companies. Ms. Au holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Acadia University.
